FAQ

Pokémon card scanning: your questions.

Is Card Scan Lab free?

Yes. You get five results with a price before signing in. Then continue free with an email one-time code, without a password. Technical usage limits apply.

How does a Pokémon card scan work?

Photograph the card or upload a photo. A card candidate and its available euro reference price appear automatically. Check the card, set, number, language and printing; you can change the selection.

What does the price mean?

It is a reference price in euros, shown with its source, observation date, card language and condition basis. It is not a guaranteed selling price or an assessment of your card’s condition.

Which card languages are supported?

You can select English, Italian or Japanese where available. Recognition and price coverage vary by set and printing. A card can be recognized without a relevant price being available. Prices remain in euros in every website language.

Do I need to install an app?

No. Use the scanner in your browser. Allow camera access when prompted, or upload a JPEG, PNG or WebP photo.

What if the match is wrong or the price is missing?

Choose another candidate, change the available language or printing, or search by the set code and printed card number. You can also try a clearer photo. Missing price data does not mean the card is worth zero.

Does it authenticate or grade cards?

No. A photo match does not establish authenticity, a professional grade or the exact printing. Check the result against the card in your hand.
